National Register of Historic Places for Allentown, Pennsylvania

 

Allentown, Pennsylvania lays within Lehigh County. This city was founded by William Allen in 1762. He originally named the city Northamptontown. Allentown was the secret hiding place of the Liberty Bell during 1777.

 

Billy Joel sang about Allentown, Pennsylvania. This city is also home to the Lehigh Valley International Airport.
